SEND at Aston on Trent Preschool
Hello, my name is Kym and I am the SENCO at Aston on Trent Prechool. I work with the children, parents and staff to ensure that all our children’s needs are catered for and that our preschool is a safe and happy environment for any child with additional requirements. I am responsible for creating and delivering individual risk assessments and care plans, ensuring our activities are differentiated to suit children based on their specific developmental stage and need.
To ensure every child is receiving the high-quality education they deserve, I work closely with practitioners, parents and professionals from external bodies to identify any areas of concern, make referrals where necessary and support the children in preschool as much as they need.
I am also a key part of a child’s transition to other settings and I will ensure that all the information required to support a smooth and happy transition is provided to the next setting and stage or education.
